Access & Special Needs

We believe all God's children deserve to be treated equally well, but some have additional needs. We have many in our church family, young and old, with additional needs through autism, ADHD, lack of mobility, low sight and difficulty hearing.

We do our best to cater for all, including making it easy to leave the service or youth group to sit in a quieter space for a while.

Please get in touch with us if you'd like a chat ahead of time.

  • Access

We have step-free access from car park to the main doors, and level access to all rooms except our smaller rooms on the first floor. Our main doors have automatic opening buttons for disabled users.

  • Parking

Christ Church is located off the Reading Road in Chineham and has its own car park, with two disabled bays right by the main doors, and room for parking for about 25 other cars in the car park.

  • Toilets

There are two disabled toilets with drop down bars in the building.

    Baby changing facilities also available.

Please Note: We would love to join the Changing Places movement and install one of their loos too, but we're currently waiting for funding.

  • Hearing Loop

There is a hearing loop in the worship area for our services.

  • Visually impaired

There are larger print Bibles and service sheets available. Please have a word with the Welcomers on the way in, or let us know beforehand.
